The Role:
Work with the English department to support KS4 pupils who need extra help with reading, comprehension, essay writing, analysis, and exam preparation. You will deliver 1:1 and small group intervention, reinforce lesson content, and keep teachers updated on pupil progress.
 
The Candidate:
You are articulate, organised, and able to explain ideas clearly in a way pupils understand. You want practical secondary school experience, enjoy helping students improve in English, and are keen to develop the classroom skills needed for a future in teaching.
 
Requirements

• Degree – A 2:2 or above in English, English Literature, Creative Writing, or a related subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals – A desire to train as a teacher and build a long-term career in education.
