Undergraduates

We offer school placements to undergraduates which are integrated and assessed as part of your degree. These placements require you to apply your learning from your course into the classroom, giving you valuable experience and knowledge, allowing you to make an informed decision on your career choices within education.

For secondary schools, you’ll be able to use your degree to support in your degree subject department, raising the attainment levels of under-achieving students, and bridging the gap between them and their peers.

For primary, roles are not subject specific and focus more on personality, enthusiasm and creativity. Whilst raising attainment levels are still important, instilling a love of education to KS1 and KS2 pupils take centre stage.

What to expect from your placement?

  • Placements last a minimum of 20 weeks, up to 39 weeks
  • Placements are available across primary, secondary and SEN schools
  • All placements are paid
  • 32.5 hours per week, term-time only
  • Online training opportunities are offered to help support you through placement

If you’re an undergraduate looking for a placement within a school… The Graduate Network has the role for you!
