SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
Do you want hands-on experience as an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant before moving into teacher training or educational psychology?
Could you provide calm, consistent support for pupils with Autism, ADHD and EBD so they can access learning and make progress?

*** 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism, ADHD & EBD
The Role:
You’ll work alongside teachers and the SENCO to deliver structured support for pupils with Autism, ADHD and EBD. Day-to-day, you’ll run short, purposeful interventions, model routines, use visual supports, and help pupils regulate so they can learn. You’ll adapt resources, record simple progress notes, and communicate clear next steps to staff and parents.
The Candidate:
You bring a calm, patient manner and clear communication. You can follow support plans, build trust quickly, and keep boundaries consistent. You’re organised, reflective, and motivated to help pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in SEN, behaviour support and pupil wellbeing.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
