SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a psychology graduate wanting to get a feel for school life before starting a career in education?

*** Working alongside pupils with slight SEN requirements.
*** Support form a nurturing and caring SENDCo.
  • At least a bachelor's degree in psychology, or a related field.
  • Passion for the development of young learners with additional support needs.
  • A patient and empathetic nature.
  • Understanding of the importance of safeguarding policies.
  • Previous experience of working with pupils, or in a school setting, is advantageous.
The Role
  • 1-2-1 and small group interventions for SEN pupils to improve attainment.
  • Assisting teaching staff with the planning and delivering of engaging lessons that adhere to the national curriculum.
  • Leading sessions to encourage the development of basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Assisting in the running of extracurricular activities and events with the wider school community.
