SEN Teaching Assistant
 
Are you a psychology graduate looking for an opportunity to use your knowledge surrounding additional learning needs to aid SEN pupils in achieving their best?
 
Would you like to gain experience of supporting young learners in a school setting to aid in a future child-focused career?
 
*** SEN Teaching Assistant

*** £80-£90 per day
*** September 2024- July 2025
*** 1-2-1 and small group support to pupils with slight SEN requirements.
*** ‘Good’ primary school with excellent SEN provisions.
 
Requirements:
  • At least a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in psychology, or a related field.
  • A passion for the education of young learners with additional learning needs.
  • Adaptable and flexible personality.
  • Natural ability to build strong bonds with young pupils.
  • Some understanding of special educational needs.
  • Previous experience of supporting pupils, or working in a school setting, is beneficial but not mandatory.
 
The Role:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions to KS1 and KS2 pupils with slight autism, ADHD, and dyslexia.
  • Working in close collaboration with teaching staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Adapting learning materials to suit the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Participating in activities with the wider school community.
