About the School: The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students who require additional support due to various challenges. Despite facing behavioural difficulties, the students thrive with the fantastic support system in place.
 
Position Overview: They are seeking a dedicated and compassionate tutor to support students in English. As a tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping our students develop their literacy skills, improve comprehension, and enhance their overall confidence in English.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to students in English.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and learning materials to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to student growth and success.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic improvement.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop holistic support plans for students.
 
Requirements:
  • A degree in English, Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
